Private Pilates classes are available Monday to Friday by booking only.

The most effective way to achieve optimal results for individual needs, is to learn pilates on a one-to-one basis.

Prior to your first session you will be asked to complete a health & fitness questionnaire. The first session will consist of a  full body assessment, postural assessment, your key areas and goals and an introduction to Principles on both mat and accessories equipment and the foundation exercises.  Your instructor can then tailor your workout to suit your own needs, ensuring that you time at Mullum Fitness is highly effective and enjoyable. This initial session is also particularly important for those clients suffering from an injury and requiring a more specialised approach to rehabilitation.

Each session is structured into 3 phases:  Warm up and mobilisation,  main practice, flexibility and relaxation.

All our sessions and our Pilates approach is based on the original principles: Relaxation, Concentration, Alignment, Centering, Breathing, Co-ordination, Flowing movements and stamina.

Pilates Group Personal Training sessions at Mullum Fitness are limited to a maximum of ten participants and give you the attention that is needed to have your exercise techniques and alignment. If you attend a class in our private gym in Mullumbimby, you will experience a class that caters and is based on all Pilates original principles. All aspects of Pilates are covered in the small group classes with focus on correct technique and individual considerations. The incorporated principles are: Relaxation, Concentration, Alignment, Centering, Breathing, Co-ordination, Flowing movements and stamina.

Accessories used in our classes: Stott  Stability Balls, Magic Rings,  suspension mats, Resistance bands and weighted balls.

Each class and performed exercise will be monitored with particular attention to detail to ensure a safe and highly effective training routine. Inter-segmental action of the spine, deep core stabilisation and scapula alignment are of utmost priority in our classes.

Pilates Reformer

If you have significant injuries and or health conditions please consult with our trainer as it may be more beneficial to start a few one on one sessions on the pilates reformer. This may assist  you to better understand how to engage the core and work around your individual needs.

Pilates at Mullum Fitness offer clients a private and exclusive atmosphere where everyBODY is welcome. We work closely together with all other muscular skeletal health professionals at the clinic and can offer inter-related and longterm preventative health solutions.

Pilates classes are held at the Mullum Fitness Studio.

Cost: $20 p/casual class – 5 visit passes $17.5 p/class & 10 visit passes $15 p/class for regular bookings!

Session times:

Mondays: 9-10am

Wednesday: 7.30-8.30am & 8.30-9.30am

Thursday: 7.30-8.30am & 9-10am

Friday: 8.30-9.30am

Subsequent sessions will be designed with your specific postural issues, needs and goals in mind.  A variety of specialised equipment will be used to challenge your body and your mind!

Each session will be both fun and challenging and very much a learning experience.  You will discover your own strengths and weaknesses and how to correct them.
